Why should I store my personal belongings with Community Storage?

Community Storage has a wide variety of sizes and prices to fit your needs including heated and cooled units and outside storage.  Each facility has a friendly and helpful management team on site.  They keep our paved lot, grounds and units clean and well-maintained.  Electronic security gate and fenced premises help keep your valuables safe.  Our grounds are well lit at night for added security.

What size of storage unit do I need?

The size you need varies depending on your individual belongings. You can check out our sizing guide for general guidelines or call and speak with one of our friendly knowledgeable site managers who can help you determine the size and price to best fit your needs.

What are heated and cooled units?

Our heated and cooled units are an inside unit where we control the temperature between 60-80 degrees year-round.  Units are entered through an interior hallway.
 

What do you store in heated and cooled units?

Heated and cooled units are ideal for antiques, fine furnishings, books and documents, pianos, etc.  There is also less humidity in the heated and cooled units.  It's more like storing your personal belongings in a spare room in your house rather than the garage. 
 

Do I need to provide my own lock?

Community Storage will provide a tamper-resistant cylinder lock and key at no additional charge for additional security at most locations.  You may use up to two additional padlocks of your own if you desire.

Do I need to sign a lengthy contract?

There is a one month minimum prorated to the first of a month that you pay when you move in.  After that, it's just month-to-month.

Is the deposit refundable?

Yes, the deposit is fully refundable given that you turn in the lock and key(s), the unit is completely vacant and there is no rent due.
 

Do you offer insurance?

Yes, we offer insurance policies to protect your personal belongings while in storage from such things as fire, theft and tornados.  Prices start as little as $8.00/month.  Ask the site manager for more details.

Do you offer any discounts or specials?

Yes, contact the local facility to inquire about current specials and/or discounts.  

What forms of payments do you accept?

We accept cash, check, money orders, MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover and debit cards.  We can automatically debit a checking or savings account each month.  We can also automatically bill a credit or debit card each month at no additional charge.  Ask manager for details.   

Can I be billed automatically each month?

Yes, we can automatically debit your checking or savings account or bill your credit card each month so you never need to worry about missing a payment. We can also send you a statement to remind you your payment is coming due.

Can I pay my storage online?

Yes!  Just click on "Make A Payment" at the top of the page or bottom of the page, and select your facility.  First time users will need to setup an online account.  We accept ACH (direct withdraw from checking or savings account) or credit card payments (Visa, Discover, American Express and Mastercard).

Do you sell moving supplies or boxes?

Yes.  We sell a variety of boxes and moving supplies for one-stop shopping.  Click here to see the moving supplies we have to offer.

Do you offer truck rental?

Yes.  Most of our facilities have U-Haul trucks available for local or one-way moves.  See manager for details.
